Now I can tell you that this is the week after E3 and well, that you should keep an eye out for Sea of Thieves and the new South Park game. But let’s face it: it’s Summer Sale time @ Steam.

steam sale

You can get your paws on a lot of games for cheap. It’s not the same as a Humble Bundle (like the new Sonic Bundle) , but it’s still quite cheap:

Please note that alle deals are valid until july 4th, at which point an encore sale seems likely. Steam has chosen the same setup as in recent sales. There are no daily deals, all games are the same price for the duration of the sale. No need to rush and spend all your money today, you can sleep on that Train Simulator 2016 DLC ;-).

We are of course awaiting the release of the RX480 next week . The new graphics card made by AMD promises to be a price revolution. It should, according to some leaked benchmarks, be as fast as a GTX 980 and sport a $200/€250 price tag for the 4 GB model. In the mean time you can watch this GTX 1070 review from JayzTwoCents:

Also it turns out that live video is a thing. After Facebook, Twitter and Meerkat launched the service now Tumblr has one as well. Well, it is in cooperation with Youtube which also has just added live video features to its mobile app.

News of the week

The news of the week is Brexit. It must be. Never before has an EU-country left the union. Well, there were Greenland and Algeria who left the predecessors of the current entity after they became independent.

If you had not guessed it: it’s the first weekend of the new Independence Day movie. Now I have loved the first movie so I am most certainly inclined to go see this one.

Meanwhile the box office in the United States suggests that the Wacraft movie is floundering a bit. The Pixar movie Finding Dory however, seems to be humming along quite nicely.

Now… for the big one. The season finale of Game of Thrones is this Sunday. You will be able to see it on HBO Go on Monday, but just be nice to your friends and do not spoil it ;-).

This is a good weekend for Hearthstone players. The Americas Championships are this weekend and so you can watch them live via Twitch on Saturday and Sunday. Or you can go and watch the OG Overwatch invitational.
